Our Story

Hello,

My name is Jennifer and I am the creator of Plannipus.  I have had challenges keeping a daily schedule and keeping my thoughts sorted for as long as I can recall.  My issues really became apparent after I graduated from High School and my daily schedule became more flexible which required more self-tracking.  

I have missed college classes, important meetings, doctor’s appointments, and more.  I do not remember dates or names very well and that presents uncomfortable situations with missed or late birthdays and awkward meetings.  These failures left me feeling terrible about myself and my behavior. 

 Overtime I have become very good at keeping my daily schedule and keeping a journal.  In fact, I have been a successful project manger and mentor for many years.   

I want to help other people who have the same challenges be successful because I KNOW they can be successful!  YOU CAN be successful.

 Over the years I have spent a LOT of money on beautiful day planners and guided journals only to find I was unable to complete them fully or in the manner in which they dictated.  

The Plannipus Day planner is designed for those of us who need a wee bit of guidance but not too much guidance that we feel overwhelmed.  It is a perpetual planner which means there are no printed dates!  You are not going to waste your hard earned money on empty pages if you miss a day or a week of tracking!  

 Plannipus journals are lovely blank books and notebooks which allows you the flexibility to use them in any manner you want.  You can enhance your journal with color stickers or washi tapes or you can keep it simple.  It is up to you. 

My son, Everett,  loves to draw and and be creative.  You will find his first design on the sticker “Ch-Ch-Challah”   He then started “Super Socks” within Plannipus.  Socks are a fun, creative way to express ourselves.  Everett designs each one and he hopes you find a pair that that makes you smile.

Our symbol is the amazing Platypus.  I have loved the platypus since I was very young.  The platypus is a mis-matched looking creature who is shy,  they are mammals but lay eggs, have a duck bill and  a beaver like tail.  They are amazing and weird.  I encourage you to check out the LIVE Platypus Cam at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park  (the only ones in the U.S.).
